More Than Zero

Nasser recently came up with a post on graffiti art in Kuwait. I think it’s a wonderful talent and it should be taken to the next level.
Diesel throws an on-line contest every year for the artistic and creative. This year they are sponsoring something new.
ARE YOU A GENIUS OF WEB OR A DIGITAL CREATIVE ARTIST?
The MTZ Festival offers young creative artists and production companies the opportunity to meet potential cross-media content clients thanks to a “pitching"/contest, in other words, of finding oneself face to face with the potential client and of giving a live presentation of those projects that have passed the selection process. The selection bid is open to all creative artists, authors, production centres and ICT designers with an interest in all the latest developments in digital communication, without any restriction of nationality, type of company, age or profession.
All details in www.morethanzero.itTo give you a foretaste of life as a creative artist in a business environment, all works have to be delivered by 10 March 2008.

I encourage everyone interested to head on over there and give it a shot. You can enter for either of the two categories: Tv Visual Identity or Brand. I don’t know why the official more-than-zero website is only available in Italian when the contest is for everyone! Even the registration form is in Italian! I think I will “Contatti” them and find out some more.
Update: I did find the “English” version of the contest page only: http://www.morethanzero.it/page15/page21/page21.html

@Mai: Your donut pic, LOL!
@N: I would love to join but when I tried emailing them asking for more info, the email was returned back with an error.
You don’t have to be a graphic designer to join! The two categories are explained as:
Branding and Identity:
Create a brand identity for Diesel TV including Logo & ident Stings.
Provide a name of this channel.
Describe how your solution takes into consideration the media and technology in which it will be viewed.
Programming:
Come up with at least one proposal for an interactive programme.
Describe how it would exploit and work across different digital media channels
I will update this post as soon as I hear from them. DIESEL seem to have a whole lot planned besides a new collection to wear!

Those are really cool, I like what they are doing, encouraging artists isn’t what they do in Kuwait, if it doesn’t make money they don’t encourage it and that is disappointing.
